Where's Frank?
Headed to Taiwan with Sarah for the 2010 Amway Cup.
The first stop on Frank T. Dawg’s whirlwind 2010 tour was Olathe, Kansas this past weekend where Sarah played a tune up for the Amway Cup. This stop on the Midwest 9 Ball Tour proved to be worthwhile for two reasons. First, Sarah won the event, so she was able to throw a little cash in her pocket.

More importantly though, BBQ!

Seriously, is there any better place in the world to get BBQ than in the midwest? Chicken, ribs, texas toast… delicious. Sarah was even nice enough to help me up on the table so I could dig in.

I have no idea what’s going to be on the menu in Taiwan, but I can’t wait to get out there! I’ll have the rest of the pictures up in the photos section later today.
After months of being ignored, it’s finally time to get out of Illinois and back on the road. Once I shake off all the dust from being locked in the back of Sarah’s closet, I’ll be traveling to Taiwan for the Amway Cup!
This will be my first trip out of the country, so needless to say I’m pretty excited. I know a few of my friends from the WPBA will be heading to Taipei as well, so I won’t get too lonely while Sarah is busy kicking ass.
The real reason I want to go though is to check out the Formosan Mountain Dogs.

These dogs are all from Taiwan and they have these totally wicked black tongues. I probably won’t see one since they’re really rare, but you never know. After Taiwan, Sarah and I will be flying over to San Diego for the first event of the 2010 WPBA season, the San Diego Classic, then we’ll be off to Philly for the Super Billiards Expo.
I’m not sure how I’m supposed to feel about this. It seems everyone at PoolDawg felt I was a little worse for wear after spending a couple of years traveling around the US. Sure, my tail broke off, my leg was busted, I had a hole in my thigh and another in my neck, but that doesn’t mean I need to be put out to pasture, right?
As it has been explained to me, I’m sort of like Santa. There’s only one of me, but I can’t be everywhere at once so Mike’s going to send out some “local” Franks to help out and spread billiards cheer while I’m hanging out with Sarah.
Can I just say that getting a mold made is seriously not fun. Thankfully, holding still isn’t much of an issue for me, but the goo for the mold is pretty gross. Anyway, in case you were wondering, here’s what “local Frank” looks like in the building stage:

He’s not nearly as pretty as me, but in a few weeks he’ll be all gussied up and ready for the road.
We all knew it was coming, but PoolDawg finally made it official. In 2010, I will once again be travelling around the United States with the one and only Sarah Rousey!

Sarah did such a good job taking care of me (no broken tails or feet in 2009) that Mike the marketing guy has decided to let me hang out with her for another year. That means I’ll be traveling to all the WPBA events in 2010 and I might even get to go to a few other places. Derby City is coming up and I’ve never been there, so I’m hoping that if Sarah goes she’ll take me along.
By the way, if you haven’t visited Sarah’s blog, you really should. Not only does she write all about her adventures on the road, but she also has a trivia contest every week where you can win some Dawg Dough.
Can’t wait to hit the road with the Rowdy one again!
