Well, it seems that our new First Family has finally picked out a dog to represent the canine community in Washington DC. Word has it that they’ll be adopting a Portuguese Water Dog. Personally, I would’ve gone with a bulldog (not that I’m biased or anything), but Portuguese Water Dogs are pretty cool, so I’m down with it. Plus, I’m hearing that they rescued and adopted instead of going to a puppy mill which is nice to hear.
Anyway, the real news here is the name. It looks like “Frank” is on the short list of candidates, but then again, so is “Moose”. Really? Moose? Maybe if they adopted a Great Dane, a Newf or a St. Bernard, but a Water Dog? I’m not saying that Water Dogs are small, but they’re not “Moose” style dogs either. Trust me Prez, go with Frank. Frank’s your buddy. Frank’s your pal. You hang out with Frank. Moose is some guy who plays OT for the high school football team.
