Sarah and I are finally back from Oklahoma and naturally I’ve got lots of pictures to share. One of the best things about hanging out with Rousey is that she likes to drive everywhere. It may take a little longer than flying, but I’d much rather be riding shotgun in her hooptie than getting shoved into an overhead compartment.
First major attraction on the way to Oklahoma was the Gateway Arch. Let me tell you, that thing is HUGE!

Once we got to Oklahoma, we stopped off to see Oklahoma’s favorite son, Will Rogers. He and his horse Soapsuds seemed a little stiff, but that didn’t stop him from trying to lasso me. Not sure why a cowboy of his stature would think I’m a cow, but that’s ok.

Once we made it to the Riverwind Casino, we stopped by to say hi to some old friends. Linda Paul and Joanne Ashton were hanging out and signing autographs so I decided to crash their party. For some reason, they were a bigger autograph draw than me. Go figure.

From there, it was time to play some pool. Sarah had some good racks, got some bad rolls and ultimately finished 27th at the US Open. I didn’t get to watch all the matches, mostly because that silly Megan Smith kept pouring delicious, ice cold Bud Light down my gullet.

Determined to turn her game around, Sarah and I decided to hit the Oklahoma State 8 Ball Championships. Even though she didn’t take the US Open title, Sarah did grab the 8 ball title in the state championships! Did I mention that the championships were held at Magoo’s, one of my all time favorite pool halls? If you’re ever in Tulsa, definitely stop by Magoo’s Billiards.
After the championships, there was some celebratory drinking which typically means that Sarah ends up wearing me on her head like a lampshade. Notice that even on Sarah’s head, I’m still not as tall as men’s 8 Ball state champion Joey Gray and runner up Chip Compton.

So for now, I’m back in Bloomington hiding from all those crazy cats. Sarah promised me a trip to NYC in the near future to meet some of her other friends, hopefully between now and the Colorado Classic. In the meantime, be sure to check out all the pictures from the US Open.
