Avast Ye Scurvy Dawgs!

For those who didn’t know, this Saturday is the official Talk Like A Pirate Day.  Every year on September 19th, people all around the US start talking about things like squalls, scurvy, walkin’ the plank and Davey Jones’ Locker.

Now I know everyone gets excited about pirates and they want to dress their dogs up in celebration of this very special day, but let me tell you, getting tossed in a costume isn’t fun!  We have enough trouble walking as it is with our stubby legs, so putting us in pirate outfits is just completely uncalled for.

Here are a few of the worst offenders:

So this weekend, just say no to dressing your dog up like a pirate.  Let us keep what little dignity we have left (which isn’t much considering the fact that most of us can’t even fit our teeth in our mouths).
