Samm and her new husband Marc caught the dreaded Derby crud when we got back to Colorado and I had to spend a week nursing them both back to health.
It was my first time to Derby and I have to admit, it was quite an experience. I watched Samm do some interviews for Accu-Stats.
I hung out with some of her famous friends.

I even signed up for a mini tournament but they wouldn’t let me play for some reason.
So, I decided to play some backgammon with Jay Helfert instead.
I did okay.
So I celebrated a little…
That wasn’t the only wagon I fell off. I also ate a ton of junk while I was there.
Okay, I guess I needed to recover too.
Samm has a busy calendar for March but I get to tag along with her so I’m happy. I do wish I could find a better way to travel though. I never can get comfortable in those seats.
Next stop, VALLEY FORGE!

Yes, your old pal Frank T. Dawg will be making his first appearance at the Derby City Classic (or DCC as it is more commonly called). I wasn’t sure this was going to happen, but at the last minute my buddy Samm Diep told me to prepare for the unique experience that is Derby City.
Now because I can’t reach the table (and have no opposable thumbs), I won’t be playing in any matches, but I’m sure I’ll be railbirding along with the other sweaters.
Honestly, I’m not sure what to expect. I’ve never been to a show like this before. Sure, there’s some action at the Super Billiards Expo, but from what I hear it’s nothing like Derby. I know that Samm will protect me though in case I get into trouble. She’s got some serious kung fu grip action.
I’ll try and get some posting in during the show, but your best bet is to check out Samm’s new blog at www.SammDiep.com. In addition to toting yours truly around, I’m sure she’ll be doing at least one or two “Samm’s On The Case” videos.
We all knew it was coming, but PoolDawg finally made it official. In 2010, I will once again be travelling around the United States with the one and only Sarah Rousey!
Sarah did such a good job taking care of me (no broken tails or feet in 2009) that Mike the marketing guy has decided to let me hang out with her for another year. That means I’ll be traveling to all the WPBA events in 2010 and I might even get to go to a few other places. Derby City is coming up and I’ve never been there, so I’m hoping that if Sarah goes she’ll take me along.
