I’m Packing My Game and Headed Out West…

On March 30, 2009, in Frank's Adventures, by Frank T. Dawg

Its been way too long since I’ve been out on the road with Debbie, so needless to say, I’m chomping at the bit (well, I’d be chomping at the bit if I was a horse anyway) to get out to San Diego for the 2009 San Diego Classic.  Debbie’s been getting some extra training from Monica and Helena, so she should be ready to kick some butt this week.

In addition to some great pool, I’m looking forward to seeing all my pals from the WPBA.  Jasmin Ouschan, Allison Fisher, Kelly Fisher and of course my rowdy little buddy Sarah Rousey.

I’ll be updating the blog with results and if we can figure it out, I’ll see what I can do to put the WPBA live streaming matches on the blog as well.

WPBA Championships Hangover

On November 28, 2008, in Frank's Adventures, by Frank T. Dawg

Sorry about the lack of posts lately.  The tall lady went to NYC after the WPBA championships to celebrate with Monica and Helena, so I’ve been waiting on her to get back and help me upload the pictures.   We got lots of shots with our friends in the WPBA and the Spirit Tour and the fans.

Hanging with My Favorite Gals, Deb and Sarah

Hanging with My Favorite Gals, Debbie Schjodt and Sarah Rousey!

It wasn’t all fun and games though.  Those WPBAers are crazy rowdy and once again I ended up with a broken tail.  Debbie was nice enough to do a little surgery between matches to fix my tail, but I don’t know how much more of this I can take!

I Broke My Tail... Again!

Anyway, once Debbie wakes up from her tryptophan coma, we’ll get the rest of the pictures uploaded and posted up on the blog.

What A Weekend!

On November 17, 2008, in Frank's Adventures, Frank's Friends, by Frank T. Dawg

Can I tell you how much of a blast it was in Florida this weekend?  The tall lady played some solid pool, going hill-hill in three of her four matches and two of our good friends are going to be famous.  Sarah Rousey made it to the semifinals of the WPBA Championships, getting two of her matches televised for broadcast on ESPN next month, so she’ll be on the tube for the first time.

Sarah got knocked out in the semis by Kelly Fisher, but nobody was able to stop our pal Monica Webb. Monica (who helps me and Helena keep Debbie out of trouble) took down Vivian Villarreal in the semifinals 7-5 and then beat Kelly Fisher 7-4 in the finals to win her first ever WPBA title!

Over the next week or so, Debbie will be helping me upload pictures from both the WPBA championships as well as the Spirit Tour finale that we went to the week before.  In the meantime, feel free to join me in giving a huge congrats to two of my favorite Friends of PoolDawg, Sarah Rousey and Monica Webb.
