I’m Goin’ Back To Cali…

On April 20, 2010, in Frank's Adventures, by Frank T. Dawg

As I’m sure many of you heard, my buddy Melissa Herndon started up a new regional tour in Southern California and PoolDawg has signed on as a sponsor.

Since we’re involved, Mike the Marketing Guy has decided to add to my already packed travel schedule by sending me out to California for the remainder of the events.  So, in addition to Las Vegas (x2), Oklahoma, Virginia and a few other places, I’ll be hanging with a brand new group of ladies, including my new pal Critter and the infamous OMGWTF lady.

If you live in Southern California, you should check out the schedule and see when an event is coming to your town.  A full field of top regional players plus the chance to be seen with old Frank T. Dawg?  What more could you ask for?  Check out their website at http://www.scl9t.com/ for details.

By the way, I heard a rumor that I might be getting to rub elbows with some celeb types soon in the NYC.  We’ll see if it pans out…

Frank and Critter at the Expo

On March 23, 2010, in Frank's Friends, by Frank T. Dawg

It isn’t often that I get to meet another mascot, let alone a mascot who loves pool as much as I do.  Toward the end of the Super Billiards Expo, I got to meet none other than Critter, the well traveled road partner of the world famous OMGWTF (if you haven’t read her blog, you’ve got to check it out at http://www.massiveunderstatement.com).

We were chillin’ in the Mezz booth (which by the way was the place to be at the Expo) and all the sudden who should walk in the booth but the past, present and future of trick shots in Mike Massey and Florian “Venom” Kohler.  Since Critter is a wee bit smaller than me, I decided to give him a leg up so he could watch the show.

Needless to say, Venom and Massey put on quite a show, doing some classic tricks as well as some of the crazy stuff from Venom’s new DVD.  Hopefully I’ll get another chance to hang out with Critter in May when I head out to Las Vegas for BCA Nationals.

Thanks Billiards Digest!!

On July 31, 2009, in Frank's House, by Frank T. Dawg

While hanging out and waiting for Sarah to finish her match, someone brought me a copy of Billiards Digest to look at.  It seems that the writers over at Billiards Digest like my blog so much that they named it the best blog in their annual web awards!

How I managed to win an award over Sarah Rousey’s blog (which totally rocks, btw) or the hilariously spiffy OMGWTF blog (the co-runners up) is beyond me, but I’d like to thank the good folks at Billiards Digest for choosing me!
